August 16, 2008 - Saturday

Almost a year has passed since I have been to this site. I have not forgotten about it, and I have plans to revive it very soon so be patient. The site will undergo serious revisions, and they will herald the beginning of a new comic. This is simply an early notice of the changes to come.

November 4, 2007 - Sunday

It's been more than a month since I left this place alone and abandonned to rot in it's own putrid filth. I must appologize for this, even if the appology is only to myself. I've been working on a grand epic of my own with the intent of converting it into a cohesive comic here to suppliment the rubbish that I normally try to peddle. There are obvious downsides to this. The first is that planning is involved, and time is required in which to do said planning. Time that I have to make aside from school, work, and the comics here. My new job has hit me hard. Whenever I get off from my daily trudgery I feel so completely drained that I simply want to just sleep until I have to work again. This has caused me to drop any sort of writting, any efforts involving this site and even general slacking off when it comes to school. None of this is good. I've had virtually no progress with comic-related projects since I recieved my laptop, my writting has hit an all time low and I don't even feel like playing video games. There is something seriously wrong. My NeverChance project is becoming more defined with a small influx of ideas, but it is far from fleshed-out. I could just slap a story together real quick, but it would come off as if it were shodilly thrown together and the subject deserves much more than a half-assed effort. I'll really try to hammer it out during the next couple of weeks and we might get back into busines before Christmas. It would really be nice if we could get some stuff together before the second year of this site starts.

September 23, 2007 - Sunday

I pretty much didn't finish Friday's comic (which was Monday's), and decided to put it off until this Monday. But as it's minutes away from being Monday, it doesn't look like I'll have it finished in time. I might try to cram it in before Wednesday and put it up late, but that'll make doing one for Friday a squeeze. I know that I can do it, but I need to crack down on writting the story first so I can create strips that contain a modicum of quality. I'm pondering a more stylistic visual approach to the comic and even trying inks again. If I do decide to do this, then I'll also go to full page format again and really make this a webmanga. I have made up a new banner for the site that I like. I want to make things more visual around here and that'll probably include new logos and maybe even wallpaper. So, the point is that I might go on hiatus a bit getting everything in order, but I will be bringing the comic to a larger audience and maybe even garner a bit of attention. Update: Just thought I'd post an image that I did for the next comic, but won't be using any longer. You can see it here.

September 15, 2007 - Saturday

I know that it is technically Saturday (3:38) and that means that I'm technically late with Friday's comic. I'm sorry, but I put it off again. I don't know why, but I decided to not even think about it until Thursday. Unfortunately, on Thursday afternoon I had what I believe was a case of slight food poisoning. Mom tried to tell me that I was fine, but I don't think that sweating profusely and being unable to stand due to weakness is a healthy thing. Anyways, I went to bed for about three hours and I was fine again. So that little episode didn't speed things along. I will get the next one done for Monday, although it might end up being Tuesday morning if I don't just jump into it. I'm also going to try getting some work on the story of Keys of Paranima and the world it takes place in. I've been ignoring it for sometime and I think because I'm getting back into writing that it would be a good time to start again. I'm just trying to get the site running well again and improve it as much as I can. As much as I like the simplicity of just plain white, I'm thinking of changing the background or at least giving it a logo or something.

September 10, 2007 - Monday

New strip up here. I didn't get that done nearly fast enough. I was hoping that I'd finish it by Saturday, but I spend most of Sunday finishing it. I really just need to leap into working on a strip without any distractions and just plug away at it until it is done. Unfortunately, I smudged the first frame a bit because it finished it before the rest. It's not horrible-looking, but you can tell that it isn't as dark as the rest. I hope to get the next one up this coming Friday, and hopefully I'll be able to carry out two-strip weeks from now on.

September 5, 2007 - Wednesday

The next NeverChance strip is up here. I don't know if you'd call it a strip as it is nearly as tall as it is long now. That's because I got into the drawing groove and made the images larger than intended. I couldn't size them down too much, or they'd loose most of the detail that I spent hours putting in. Thus the strip is 200 px taller than the previous two times. Kazane shows up now, and will be a permanent character. The other thing I need to address is the upload schedule. I hate definate schedules, but it's pretty much demanded with sites like this. I've broken from my Friday schedule to put this strip up in hopes that I might get ahead with the next one and have it up on Monday. I would like to do a twice-weekly strip, although I'm giving myself time to ease into it. Seeing as it is just barely Wednesday, I have nearly a week to get the next comic ready. And if I am as excited making the next one as I was with this one, then I may get it done early again. I won't post it until Monday, but if I finish early it means I can start on Friday's comic. This could potentially give me a head-start on my schedule despite always being behind in the past. However, as I am still the same person as before don't be surprised if this all falls through.

September 2, 2007 - Sunday

I have the new comic up here, although I put it up on ComicSpace first on Friday. Also, I've finally decided to divorce the Falling_Blocks name from the main comic. This is partially because I want to impart a "newness" to the project, so I won't feel tied down by what I've done before. Another reason for the change is that F_B doesn't really fit the current comic as it was given the name back when it was intended to be video game-based. You know, one of those catchy names that refers to something geek-related. Anyways, I've decided to go with a new name, NeverChance, that is much more manga-inspired to suit the comic. Despite this change, the site will remain Falling_Blocks for the forseeable future.

August 24, 2007 - Friday

Appologies, the next comic is not up primarily because I'm having art and time difficulties again. Part of the annoyance is the ammount of time that it takes to make my comics, and also the fact that it's really not up to par with the way I'd like it to be. I'm trying to focus on making it look more clean and neat. Another problem is that I have great difficulty keeping charcaters looking the same. I just did a decent drawing of Jon last night, but he looks nothing like he did in the last strip. I think that I just need to draw like crazy so that I'll get stuck drawing everyone one certain way. Strangely, I did manage to create a decent image of Kazane, a new character. However, I'm not going to put it up until I finish it. Sorry again about the situation.
